The Battery Campus is a Cloud Based Training Community for all those involved in the Design, Installation and Maintenance of the Stationary Batteries used in Standby Power Applications.
While Online courses have become the standard for a lot of skill based training, they lack the human element of On The Job training that was an essential part of a traditional apprenticeship.
The Library is free to all registered members of the campus. Here you will be able to access a range of technical and informative materials related to both Stationary Batteries and the associated Standby Power Systems.
The study hall is where all the training communities meet. All Members will have access to the Study Hall to view the range of available training opportunities. Access to the actual training materials and community chat will require an annual subscription to the community in which they are interested.

The training is organized into four communities based on the IEEE 1657 skill level-based curriculum. Paid membership of a community will provide a full year's access to a collection of relevant instructional "Battery Bytes", a members-only community all moderated by industry specialists.
Thank you for visiting The Battery Campus. I am George Pedersen and I have spent the last ten years since my retirement criss crossing North America as a contract instructor teaching people about the batteries used in standby power applications. Much as I love the in person teaching I know that I have only scratched the surface of the education required to ensure the reliability of these power sources of last resort. This website is my vision of what it takes to recreate the benefits of an apprentiship in an online community. Basic Membership is free so why don't you come and see what we have to offer..
This is the center of our Campus where all members can meet and catch up with anything that is new within our communities and the industry in general.
This is where all live events, not community-specific, such as live podcasts and webinars, will be held.
